KALLAMBALAM: Three people, including newlyweds, were swept away in the Pallikal River while taking photographs. The body of a youth was found. The search continues for the newlyweds.

The dead body of Ansal Khan (19) ,of Pakalkuri Idavelikal House, was found. The fire force and the locals are searching late at night for the newly married couple, Siddique (28), of Puthanveedu in Chonamukal in Kadakkal's Kummil and his wife Naufia Naushad (21), of Pachayil House in Kavathiyad in Karalikkonam in Ayoor.

The marriage between Siddique and Naufia took place on July 16. They had come to their cousin Ansal Khan's house for a feast at around 4 pm yesterday. Then they came down to take photos by the river. At 5:30 a local resident came to this area and saw sandals and a bike on the river bank. He looked for a long time but did not see anyone. After this, he informed others.

Ansal Khan's family also reached the spot after his son and the newly wed couple went missing. Then his body was found last night around 8.45 in the search conducted by the police, fire force and divers. It is suspected that while taking photos from the rock near shore of the river, they may have slipped and fallen in the current.
