Earthquake of 4.0 magnitude hits Assam; Gujarat warned

GUWAHATI: Nagaon in Assam felt a tremblor late today that has recorded a magnitude of 4.0 on the Richter scale. The quake hit the northeast state at evening 4:18 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 10 km deep inside the earth crevices of Nagaon. Yesterday, Gujarat also experienced a mild tremblor making the governing bodies hassle up certain precautions.

The Gujarat quake had a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale. The incident in Surat happened in the dead hour of the night at 12: 52 am.
