Actress Vaibhavi Upadhyaya dies in car accident 

MUMBAI: Actress Vaibhavi Upadhyaya died in a car accident. She was 34. Producer and actor J D Majethia, who has worked with Vaibhavi in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, confirmed the news of her death.

He wrote, ‘I'm shocked! She was genuinely a good soul and a terrific actress who actually didn’t get her due in the industry. A person who was full of life and zen. It is unbelievable that life can be so unpredictable. An actress and a very dear friend, Vaibhavi is even today remembered for her character Jasmine from Sarabhai vs Sarabhai.’

The accident happened in Himachal Pradesh Tuesday early morning. She was with her fiancé in the car when it lost control and slipped into a valley during a turning on the road. Her body will be brought to Mumbai from Himachal. The body will be kept for the people to pay homage and will then be laid to rest.

Vaibhavi has acted in Chhapaak along with Deepika Padukone. She has acted in sitcom shows like CID, Adalat and in the web series Please Find Attached.
