CHENNAI: Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah alleged that the DMK had squandered the opportunity to make a Tamilian the prime minister. He also accused the DMK of depriving Tamil Nadu people of two opportunities to get a Tamil Prime Minister.
Amit Shah said in a meeting with the booth level workers of the party that BJP will try to make someone from Tamil Nadu the future Prime Minister. He added that the BJP aims to contest in 25 constituencies in the state in next year's elections. Last time, BJP contested in five of the 39 Lok Sabha seats and won three and a half percent votes. Home Minister visited Vellore today. Security has been beefed up in Vellore in view of Amit Shah's visit.
