Private bus rams scooter, four-year-old dies

PUTHOOR: A 4th class student died after being hit by a private bus on his way to music class on a scooter with his mother. The deceased has been identified as Siddharth (9), the only son of Gopakumar and Diana, of Karipol (Gopa Sadanam) in Kottathala Moozhikode.

The accident happened near Thanneerpanthal temple at 7.30 am yesterday. The private bus overtook the KSRTC bus and hit the scooter. Siddharth was taken to Thiruvananthapuram SAT Hospital but his life could not be saved. The injured mother is undergoing treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. Father Gopakumar is abroad. The funeral will be held at home today.
