B Tech graduate arrested for illegally recording video in women's restroom while disguised in burqa

KALAMASSERY: The Kalamassery police have arrested Abhimanyu (23) from Mullezhiparaveedu, Karuvellur, Kannur. He was apprehended after he entered the women's restroom wearing a burqa and recorded a video using his mobile phone. The individual, a B Tech graduate employed at Infopark arrived at the mall around nine o'clock on Tuesday night. He had the burqa in his hand, which he used to disguise himself. Once inside the women's restroom, he concealed his mobile phone within a cardboard box. He proceeded to create a small hole in the box and affixed it to the door.

The security personnel grew suspicious of his actions and promptly alerted the police. Upon investigation, it was revealed that he had purchased the burqa from a cloth shop in Palarivattam. The arrest was carried out by Inspector Vipindas, along with SI Ajayakumar, Manaf, Sumesh and Arunkumar. Subsequently, he was presented in court and has been remanded.
