NEW DELHI: Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge are likely to be questioned again by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald money laundering case. It is said that the ED will issue summons again before the investigation and filing of the charge sheet is complete.
This is amid allegations that the Center is misusing investigative agencies against the opposition during elections in five states.
ED has been interrogating former Congress treasurer Pawan Bansal for two days in the National Herald case. It is learnt that Pawan Bansal is being questioned in connection with the documents obtained during the raid at the National Herald's Delhi office. It is indicated that Soni and Rahul will be called in continuation of this. Last year, ED had questioned Sonia for three days and Rahul for five days continuously.
