Fake liquor manufacturing center found near school in Thrissur, 1070 liters seized

THRISSUR: A fake liquor manufacturing center with a distribution network all over Kerala has been caught. A team led by excise circle inspector T Ashok Kumar found that a fake liquor bar was functioning under the guise of running a hotel near Gokulam School in Peringottukara, in a raid conducted yesterday morning.

1070 liters of fake liquor kept in bottles and cans were seized. Caramel, alcohol meter, syntex tank etc needed for making fake liquor and two vehicles used for transporting liquor were taken into custody.

Anoop, a resident of Irinjalakuda Muriyad who works in various ways like doctor, film actor, human rights worker, charity worker, media worker, rented a hotel and manufactured fake liquor under its cover.

Anoop Kumar from Muriyad, Sherin Mathew from Thrissur Kallur Muttithadi, Prajeesh from Cherppu Chirakkal and music director, Reji and Robin from Kottayam and Melvin Gomes from Kollam Mayanad were arrested.
