KOZHIKODE: A group of youths allegedly harassed and attacked college students in an incident of moral policing at Meppayur in Kozhikode on Wednesday evening. The students were on their way home after college when the youths, who arrived on a two-wheeler, followed and harassed them. The youths allegedly hurled abusive remarks at the girls and assaulted them. Footage of the incident, recorded by the students, has also emerged.

The students were walking along the road when the youths, who were standing nearby, began passing lewd comments at them. The youths later followed them on a two-wheeler and asked where they were studying. When the students did not respond, the youths began making obscene remarks. They also allegedly attempted to forcibly snatch the mobile phone of one of the girls who was recording the incident.

One of the students said the youths threatened that they would not let them live in peace if they approached the police with a complaint. The youths also recorded videos of the girls on their phones.
