Seven districts likely to receive rain till tomorrow

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Idukki and Thrissur districts are likely to receive summer rain till tomorrow. The hilly areas of Thiruvananthapuram and Pathanamthitta will receive more rain. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. Kottayam and Idukki districts are likely to receive rain accompanied by thunderstorms at night.

Meanwhile, the temperatures will not come down during the daytime. Kollam and Palakkad will experience maximum temperatures of 39 degrees Celsius from April 3rd to 7th. According to the IMD, the maximum temperature is likely to rise to 38°C in Kozhikode and 36°C (2-4°C above normal) in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram and Kasaragod.
