BEVCO sales rise during Onam season; liquor worth Rs 771 crore sold, Rs 126 crore on Uthradam alone

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Liquor sales through Kerala State Beverages Corporation (BEVCO) surged during the Onam season as in previous years. According to the figures released for the eight-day Onam period, liquor worth Rs 771.29 crore was sold in the state.

During the same period last year, BEVCO had recorded liquor sales worth Rs 694.96 crore. This year, sales increased by around Rs 77 crore compared with last year. On Uthradam day, liquor worth Rs 126.31 crore was sold. BEVCO outlets remained closed on Thiruvonam.
