THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: James, father of Jesna Maria James, a second-year B.Com student of Kanjirapally SD College, who went missing six years ago, told the court that his daughter is not alive and that he can provide digital evidence including pictures of an unknown friend who is suspected to be the accused.

In the plea file through Adv Sreenivasan, James claimed he has more information about the person who was secretly close with Jesna and that the CBI didn't probe it after sharing the same. Then the court ordered the CBI officer to appear in person on April 19.

It was also stated in the petition that if the CBI investigates properly, he will provide evidence including pictures of the said friend. "Even a small lapse in inquiry can result in a major error. There is a fear that the unknown friend will destroy the evidence if he gets to know the involvement of CBI. I found the place where Jesna secretly went to pray every Thursday. Jesna also went missing on a Thursday. There has been no investigation in this direction. The CBI suspected Jesna's classmate. He was subjected to a polygraph test. No attempt was made to determine the cause of the profuse bleeding that occurred the day before Jesna went missing. It was also not investigated whether it was menstruation or excessive bleeding that may occur during pregnancy. There was also no investigation into the bloody clothes collected by the Crime Branch DySP from Jesna's room," James told the court.

Meanwhile, the CBI replied that it had investigated all the matters raised by Jesna's father. The court was told that there was no need for further investigation. However, the agency did not give a clear answer to James' allegations. After the prosecutor said that the court can ask the information directly, the court ordered the probe officer to appear.

On March 22, 2018 Jesna took an autorickshaw from her house in Pathanamthitta and reached Erumeli Private Bus Stand. From there she boarded 'Shivaganga' bus to Mundakkayam. Kanimala Bank's CCTV footage shows that she was in the same bus till Pulikunnu. She then went missing between Pulikunnu and Mundakayam.
