KOCHI: Actor Nivin Pauly will move the Kerala High Court seeking to quash the sexual assault case against him. The actor claimed that the allegations against him are baseless. Meantime, the investigation team in the case may be entrusted today.

Nivin Pauly had yesterday said that he had not met the woman who raised the sexual allegations against him, nor has called her or send her a WhatsApp message. It is a deliberate attempt to defame him. The actor suspects a conspiracy behind it. The complaint is 100 percent baseless. As FIR has been filed, let the law take its course. Will go to any extent to prove the truth. The actor had also said that he would fully cooperate with the investigation.

A case has been registered against six including Nivin Pauly on the complaint of the woman that she was brought to Dubai and sexually assaulted after promising her roles in films. A non-bailable charge has been filed against the sixth accused, Nivin Pauly. The complainant is a native of Neriamangalam in Ernakulam.

Shreya, who runs a recruitment agency for jobs abroad, is the first accused in the case. Producer A K Sunil, Binu, Basheer and Kuttan are second to fifth accused. The charges of misconduct, gang-rape and insulting womanhood have been filed.

The woman approached Shreya for a job in Europe. Her statement is that she was taken to Dubai last November and abused in a hotel. The woman approached the SIT two days ago.
