Unexpected rain disrupts normal life; Youth files complaint against Lord Indra 

LUCKNOW: A youth filed a complaint against Lord Indra over the unexpected heavy rain disrupting normal life. The complaint was filed by Suraj Tiwari of Hardoi in Uttar Pradesh. The complaint was filed through Uttar Pradesh government’s public grievance portal.

At times, heavy rain and at other times, slow, continuous rainfall disrupts normal life. Indradev (Hindu god of rain) has been causing excessive rainfall for several hours without warning. This is creating problems for the ordinary people. Roads, streets, and low-lying areas are submerged in water. Farmers are worried about their crops. People are facing difficulties to step out of their homes, and daily activities are being disrupted.

The complaint says, ‘I don’t know Indradev’s mobile number. Therefore, I request the district magistrate to consider this matter seriously and use his divine means of communication, issue the necessary instructions to Indradev to bring the rain under control immediately and provide relief to the people of the district.’

Seven people had died and seven others were injured in rain-related incidents caused by heavy rainfall between September 25 and 27. A total of 56 people have died in rain-related accidents in Uttar Pradesh during this monsoon season. Reports say that 30 cattle have died, and 330 houses have been damaged.
