Marine Drive all set to embrace festive mood; State School Arts Festival from January 4

KOCHI: Ernakulam district will host the 65th State School Arts Festival. The festival, scheduled from January 4 to 8, features 27 venues. Thousands of contestants are set to compete this year. Marine Drive serves as the main venue for the event.

Thrissur hosted the previous arts festival. Kannur secured the gold cup with 1,028 points, while former champions Thrissur finished second and Palakkad third. At the school level, BSS Gurukulam HSS, Alathur (Palakkad), clinched the top spot.

Meanwhile, the State School Sports Meet will be held in Kozhikode from October 24 to 29. The NIT Ground is the main venue for the event, which will see the participation of over 10,000 students.
