CHENNAI: IndiGo Airlines suspended flight services from Chennai as cyclone Fengal is expected to make landfall in Tamil Nadu today. The airlines informed that all services from Chennai have been suspended.
In a press release shared on X, the IndiGo officials stated the decision was taken minding the safety of passengers and assured restoring services soon when the weather returns to normal.
IndiGo also requested passengers to visit their official website for the latest information.

Meanwhile, the Tamil Nadu government has declared a holiday for schools in six districts including Chennai today due to the strengthening of the cyclone. The government warned not to hold special classes or exams. IT employees are advised to work from home. Public access to beaches and amusement parks is prohibited.
The government has also set up 2299 relief camps. The President's program scheduled for today has also been cancelled due to bad weather. The northern districts including Chennai are on red alert.
