Teacher sexually abuses autistic child, threatens family to withdraw complaint

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A school teacher has been accused of sexually abusing an autism affected boy in Thiruvananthapuram. The Sreekaryam police have registered a case against government school maths teacher Santhosh after receiving a complaint from the 10-year old boy's mother.

The mother also stated in her complaint that the accused had threatened her asking not to file the case. The issue came to light when the mother observed some difference in the child's behaviour. After further questioning, the child revealed that he was abused by the maths teacher. The tests conducted at the Autism center also proved turned stated that the child has been sexually abused. The police have started an investigation.
