KOCHI: Police found no genuine section to file a case against activist Rahul Easwar on the complaint of actress Honey Rose alleging the former of making defamatory remarks in television debates. Police asked Honey Rose to file a complaint through the court while the officials in their response submitted to the court didn’t term Rahul as an accused.

Earlier, Rahul Easwar had approached the High Court with an application for anticipatory bail but saw the court seeking a response from police before deciding on the plea. It was announced that the court would consider the petition on the 27th of this month. The police have not filed an FIR in the case yet.

According to the complaint, the actress alleged Rahul of making vile and demeaning remarks against her in a channel discussion held to debate the Boche issue. Apart from Honey Rose, Saleem from Thrissur had also filed a complaint against Rahul Easwar. On Saturday, Honey Rose complained to Ernakulam Central Station alleging Rahul Easwar of conducting an organized attack against her.

Police did not take Saleem's complaint seriously as he was not directly involved in the case.
