KOCHI: The CPI has a different stance on the Maradu flat issue. The Supreme Court verdict should be implemented, said CPI state secretary Kanam Rajendran. The builders are guilty in the issue. The CPI will not unite to save them. The party understands the problem of flat owners. The all party meet will examine the issue. This is the first time the CPI is clarifying their stand in the Maradu flat controversy. This is the first time a noted party is requesting to implement the court verdict in Maradu.

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will convene an all-party meet on Tuesday. The flat owners are firm in their stand of not evacuating the flats. The deadline for evacuating the flats will end Sunday midnight. The municipality has not taken a decision on rehabilitating them if they vacate the flats. The builders of Alpha flats have given a letter to the municipality claiming no responsibility on the issue. However, the flat owners are of the opinion that the builders cannot wash their hands on it.
