THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A bomb threat was issued to the Cliff House, the official residence of the Chief Minister, and the Thiruvananthapuram District Court. The threat message was received through the official email of the District Court, following which the authorities immediately took action. Bomb squad (BDDS) and dog squad teams conducted thorough checks at both locations but no explosives were found. Later, it was confirmed that the threat was a hoax.

Police have registered a case against the person who sent the fake message. Officials said the email also contained references to Tamil Nadu politics. The government has appointed a special investigation team to trace the source of the email. This is not an isolated incident. In the past, similar hoax emails have been received at 28 key locations in the capital, including Cliff House, Raj Bhavan, the airport, and courts.
