THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister V Sivankutty came with an emotional reply to the criticism of CPI leaders in connection with PM Shri project. He also said that Minister G R Anil insulted him in front of the CPI office. Sivankutty clarified that Anil's was a mockery mixed with contempt.
'Fronts will have some differences of opinion. There have been criticisms from own front which were not even there from the opposition. I felt bad about it. They marched to my office twice. I had spoken to Anil on the phone over this issue. After meeting CPI state secretary Binoy Viswam, I did not respond to the media. However, Anil responded to the media in a manner despising me. All these should have been avoided. Only then the relationship between leaders becomes stronger. The approach of trampling down when something happens is not good. All these made me sad.
Anil responded by saying, ‘Shouldn’t I speak when comes to office? He behaved with contempt as if someone who had been lying somewhere had come to the office. CPI leader Prakash Babu's statement that party general secretary M A Baby was helpless is not correct. The slogans and words shouted by AISF and AIYF during the march to my office are not correct,’ said Sivankutty.
Meantime, Minister G R Anil also came forward responding to Sivankutty's response. He said that he is not one using derogatory words and that has a good relationship with Sivankutty since college. Anil clarified that he does not think Sivankutty would say such things and that he had known him since the time they were leaders of organizations.
