THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Yadhu, the driver of the KSRTC bus who engaged in a brawl with Mayor Arya Rajendran, responded to the chargesheet issued by the police in the case.

Yadhu:

“I had expected this. Arya's brother stopped the bus at the zebra crossing and shouted expletives at me. He, along with MLA, made the issue worse. I think it also had to do with my not recognising the Mayor at the time of the incident, which hurt her ego, that she decided not to spare me.

I am currently working on a private bus on a leave vacancy. I have not been reinstated in KSRTC. The mayor and MLA who caused so much trouble are enjoying their life. The only crime I committed that night was to drive that bus.

They first tried to portray me as a Sangh supporter and then said I had a history of abusing women. First of all, I was in CITU and had affiliation only with the communist party. I got the reward for being loyal. They say the communist party works for the welfare of the poor. In reality, they have tormented my life. I’m going through hardship and struggling to pay the school fees for my child.

Amidst this. The Mayor and her gang, who created a ruckus that night, continue to enjoy and live a happy life.”
