IDUKKI: M M Mani MLA departed from his characteristic style to give a lukewarm response to the news of former leader G Sudhakaran’s exit from the party. Mani said that it was not the culture of CPM to abuse or vilify anyone for their personal decision to not travel with the party anymore.

"MM Mani is a big name only when he is with this party. If he leaves, it is over for him, and he will be a nobody. If I decide to leave the party now, the CPM will not try to persuade me and consider it a personal matter,” Mani said.

G Sudhakaran said in a press conference today that he will contest the upcoming assembly elections in Ambalapuzha as an independent candidate. However, the former minister said that he is yet to disown the communist ideology and confirmed that he will not take support from any side during the upcoming polls.
