KOCHI: Following the Supreme court order, the controversial flats in Maradu will be demolished by a controlled implosion method in 5 days. The demolition will be the first of its kind in the country.
According to reports, various departments are busy setting up safety measures in order to avoid fear among the public. Police have prepared a detailed plan of the necessary safety measures. City Police Commissioner Vijay Sakhare will look after the evacuation of the people from the residential areas near the buildings.
While the Holy Faith H2O has already been filled with explosives, the work on Jain Coral Cove is going on. Alfa Serene and Holy Faith H2O will be demolished on January 11, whereas Jains Coral Cove and Golden Kayaloram will be demolished on January 12.
