16-year-old boy collapses five minutes into football game on turf, dies

PALAKKAD: In a shocking incident, a Plus One student collapsed and died while playing football at a turf ground. Dilraj (16), a native of Sreekrishnapuram and son of Rajan and Deepa, residing near Thottara LP School, died in the incident. The incident occurred around 10 PM yesterday. Dilraj used to go to the turf in Karimpuzha to play with his friends every Friday and Saturday.

On Saturday, five minutes into the game, Dilraj collapsed after feeling dizzy. His friends initially thought he had tripped and fallen. Although attempts were made to regain unconsciousness, nothing proved effective. Dilraj was immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital, but his life could not be saved.
