KOCHI: The court Tuesday ordered to leave Swapna Suresh and Sandeep Nair, main accused in the gold smuggling case, to the custody of the customs. The economic offences court in Kochi ordered to issue a non-bailable warrant against Faizal Fareed and Rabins, the other two accused in the case. The court action was on the plea of the customs. They will be in customs custody till August 1st. The customs are taking Swapna and Sandeep in their custody for the first time.
The customs have directed to produce the footages of the UAE Consulate. The customs had yesterday submitted a report after arraigning Faizal Fareed and Rabins in the case. The customs had given a plea earlier to extradite the accused from the Gulf. The court order came after approving it. The court rejected the bail pleas of the four other accused-- Hamjad Ali, Samju, Muhammed Anwar and Muhammed Abu Hashim.
