THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has accused some media outlets of working against the state's progress and public interest.
"To degrade the work done to protect the common interest of the state. Drawing the wrong picture in another way, fabricate and propagate nonsense for it. This is how the right-wing media worked here. There were also some media outlets who were willing to work from above the UDF constituent party. Didn't such media engage in research on how to discredit the LDF? Those media managers thought that they would use their influence to decide political matters. Do not assume that the whole thing is in their hands. The media should examine this critically. People have told you that the place is not in your hands. People do not swallow what you say. Not all media, but some right wing media are trying to stop the progress of the state. You have to try to protect the interest of the state. People are not ready to accept and recognize your approach. It would be better to think about it", the CM said.
"If you have any interest in the state, do not take a stand that is detrimental to its progress. Wrongdoings can be criticized. Do not mislead the state. Do not attempt to go beyond the bounds of public decency and pollute the public sphere itself. None of this is accepted by the people. Do not think that you can mislead people and decide things with their fingers. It has now become clear", the CM added.
