Brutal sexual abuse in flat; Martin escapes from under the nose of police, CCTV footages out

KOCHI: The CCTV footages that are out show the accused in the case of sexually abusing a 27-year-old woman in the flat, escaping from under the nose of the police. The footages of the accused in the case identified as Martin Joseph (26) show him leaving from the Jewels Apartment in Kakkanad on June 8.

Martin Joseph and his accomplice escaped from the flat on June 8 early morning. The footages show Martin and his friend exiting the lift and going out of the flat. The police have arrested his friends Sreerag, John Joy and Dhanesh in the case. The three helped Martin to travel from Kochi to Thrissur, his hometown. Meantime, probe focusing Thrissur for him is progressing.

The police had earlier issued a look-out notice for Martin. The victim was harassed from February 15 to March 8 at the flat in Marine Drive, Ernakulam. Martin has been charged with sexual assault, torture, harassment using weapons and cheating.
