NEW DELHI: The Youth Congress marched to the AKG Bhavan in Delhi in protest against the attack on Rahul Gandhi MP’s office in Wayanad. The protest was staged demanding the SFI to apologize over the incident. Several Malayalee students also took part in the march.
In the wake of the protests, the Delhi police, a special police from Tripura and Drutha Karma Sena were deployed in the area to guard the AKG Bhavan. A two-phased security, using large barricades, was arranged in the region. However, the Youth Congress protestors got into a dispute with the police and tried to jump over the barricades.
The Youth Congress activists alleged that the SFI fears Rahul Gandhi and that the SFI activists are mafia sena workers. More than hundreds of Youth Congress activists also demanded an apology from the SFI over the incident. They alleged that the SFI action in Kerala was to satisfy the BJP.
