Governor asks Uddhav to prove majority tomorrow; rebel MLAs to reach Mumbai

MUMBAI: Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari demanded Uddhav Thackeray Government to prove majority tomorrow in Maharashtra where the administration crisis continues. Rebel leader Eknath Shinde said a vote of confidence would be held. He said the rebel MLAs camping in Guwahati will return to Mumbai tomorrow.

The governor has directed to complete the proceedings by 5 pm tomorrow. It has also been directed to film the confidence vote process. The governor's decision came after the BJP and independent MLAs demanded a floor test. The BJP leadership had met the governor at the Raj Bhavan demanding a floor test. Eight independent MLAs had also written to the governor asking for this.

Meantime, the BJP core committee meeting will be convened in Mumbai today. The party has asked all MLAs to reach Mumbai. A cabinet meet will be chaired by Uddhav Thackeray today.
