KOCHI: Kerala Blasters got back to winning ways in the ISL with a 2-0 victory against NorthEast United FC here on Sunday. It was the team's fifth straight win at home. Greek player Dimitrios Diamantakos scored both the goals.
Blasters took the lead at the end of the first half in a game that saw many missed opportunities. The goals came in quick succession in the 41st and 43rd minutes. With the win, Blasters moved past ATK Mohun Bagan to the third position in the table with 28 points. Diamantakos has taken his total goal scoring tally to nine for the season.
In their next match, Blasters will play against East Bengal on February 3 in Kolkata.
