India's medal rush continues at Commonwealth Games: Gold in para shot put, double gold and silver in boxing

GLASGOW: India continued its impressive medal-winning run at the Commonwealth Games, securing double medals in the men's triple jump and the F57 shot put in para athletics. The country also won two gold medals in women's boxing.

In the men's F57 shot put, Soman Rana won the gold medal with a throw of 13.40 metres, while Shubham Juyal claimed silver with a throw of 13.28 metres.

India also secured two medals in the men's triple jump. Praveen Chithravel won the silver medal with a jump of 16.68 metres, while Selva Prabhu Maran took bronze after clearing 16.52 metres. Jordan Scott of Jamaica won the gold medal with a jump of 16.72 metres.

India's women boxers added two more gold medals to the tally. Preeti Pawar won the gold in the women's 54kg category by defeating Scarlett Savannah of Canada. Jaismine Lamboria claimed the gold in the women's 57kg category after beating Michaela Walsh of Northern Ireland.

In the men's 57kg boxing final, Jadumani Singh settled for the silver medal after losing 5-0 to Australia's Dixon.
