Arman Nairovich Tsarukyan, the Armenian professional mixed martial arts athlete, registered an easy win over Indian influencer Ankit Baiyanpuria. Thousands were in attendance at the Tashir Arena in Arman Tsarukyan’s native Yerevan, Armenia, as the fighter took on Indian influencer Baiyanpuria, who amasses more than 12 million followers on social media. Baiyanpuria earned popularity through the 75-day fitness challenge, which even grabbed the attention of Indian Prime Minister Modi. Baiyanpuria is a fitness freak sans any professional experience in fighting.
It said a lot as Tsarukyan dominated over Baiyanpuria in all fields. The Armenian's only headache was the Haryana native’s body size, which at times made it difficult for him to take the right position. However, after three minutes, Tsarukyan suplexed the indian and then did the armbar, locking his arms between his thighs to bring him to submission.
A fatigued Baiyanpuria tapped even before Tsarukyan could make his armbar more lethal. Tasarukyan now eyes his return to the UFC octagon in Los Angeles next month. The Hype event was watched by more than 300000 people live on the online platforms.
For Ankit Baiyanpuria, this is his first step into combat sports, and he has started on the right note, fighting a beast inside the octagon. Before the fight, Ankit said he comes with no expectations, but values experience more and even credited Tasarukyan as one of the best athletes currently in the octagon.
