PARIS: US president Donald Trump signed the peace deal with Iran. Trump signed the deal during dinner with French president Emmanuel Macron after the G7 Summit in Evian, France. From Iran's side, its President Masoud Pezeshkian signed the deal.

‘President Donald Trump has signed the Iran-US nuclear deal at the Palace of Versailles. This agreement paves the way for lasting peace and helps reopen the Strait of Hormuz. This is an important step,’ Emmanuel Macron wrote on X.

The deal is likely to be formally signed in Switzerland on Friday. Trump had said yesterday that the signing was not a final agreement but a memorandum of understanding. Trump warned that if Iran did not comply with its terms, he would bomb them.
