Gas cylinder explosion in Dubai leaves many injured; Three Malayalis in critical condition

DUBAI: Many including Malayali residents sustained injuries in a gas cylinder explosion in Dubai's Karama area. The condition of three Malayali victims is critical with a total of nine people being hospitalized in various Dubai medical facilities.

Nidin Das, Shanil and Naheel who hail from Kannur Thalassery Punnol are in critical condition and have been admitted to Dubai Rashid Hospital. Nithin Das, in particular has suffered severe injuries.

The incident occurred at Binhaider Building, near the Karama Day to Day shopping center around midnight the previous day. The explosion resulted from a gas leak happening at approximately 12:20 AM. Seventeen people were residing in the flat, divided among three rooms. Five people are receiving medical care at Rashid Hospital, while four are at NMC Hospital. The police are actively investigating the incident and two women from a neighboring flat were also injured due to the explosion's impact.
