TEHRAN: In an unconventional diplomatic manoeuvre, Iran has reportedly enlisted senior mental health experts to help navigate the unpredictable behavioural patterns of U.S. President Donald Trump during ongoing diplomatic engagements.
According to regional and international media dispatches, Tehran has integrated two veteran psychologists into its diplomatic advisory panel. Their mandate is to closely analyse the American president’s temperament and psychological profile, allowing Iranian officials to vet and adjust their correspondence before it reaches the negotiation table.
The strategic shift reportedly took shape following the conclusion of initial, indirect talks mediated by Pakistan in Islamabad.
"Two senior psychologists were brought into the advisory committee to help us interpret and manage behavioural volatility," a senior Iranian official was quoted as saying in international reports. "This approach has allowed us to frame our messages much more effectively."
The official emphasised that Tehran is treating the current diplomatic track with immense gravity, noting that the administration is fully aware that all documents and communications exchanged during these sessions will carry permanent historical weight.
The strategy aligns with recent investigative disclosures from global media, which suggest that Iranian negotiators have begun analysing their high-stakes interactions through a psychological lens to avoid sudden breakdowns in communication. By adapting the tone and structure of their proposals to match Trump's distinct personality traits, Tehran hopes to stabilise the mediation process and achieve more predictable outcomes.
