Bus carrying Malayali nurses meets with accident in Kuwait; one loses hand, 11 injured

KUWAIT CITY: Eleven people were injured after a bus carrying Malayali women nurses met with an accident in Kuwait. The accident occurred while they were travelling from Abbasiya to Farwaniya Hospital for their night shift.

A nurse identified as Naizil Sunil lost her hand in the accident. The other 10 nurses reportedly sustained injuries that were not serious.

The bus belonged to Glacier Transportation. Reports said the driver fled the scene immediately after the accident. The injured were admitted to Farwaniya Hospital for treatment. Several of them reportedly suffered injuries to their shoulders and other parts of the body.
