RIYADH: The Indian Embassy in Riyadh issued a warning to Indians in Saudi Arabia in light of ongoing Houthi attacks. Expatriate Indians have been strictly advised to avoid standing near glass windows or doors, as well as on terraces or balconies. Furthermore, individuals are instructed to remain indoors and not leave their homes or buildings until the alert is lifted. This security advisory was released due to the continued missile and drone attacks by Houthi rebels.
The Embassy advised citizens to move to windowless rooms if possible. Those currently in open areas should move to nearby buildings or a safe location. Do not attempt to capture photos or videos during an airstrike or similar incident. The Embassy also urged people to avoid gathering in crowded places. For emergency assistance, call 911 if you are in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, or the Eastern Province, and 998 in other regions.
