WASHINGTON: United States President Donald Trump reportedly escaped from Turkey on a small US military plane after facing death threats from Iran. Trump flew to the Turkish capital, Ankara, on a Boeing 747-8 plane provided by Qatar to attend a NATO meeting. However, due to the threat from Iran, Trump was transferred to a small US Navy C-32A. Iran shares border with Turkey.
The incident took place on July 8. Trump was transferred to the C-32A aircraft after being made to travel in a catering truck to the airport. The aircraft then flew to Britain with Trump. Journalists and other officials remained in the Boeing 747-8 plane to give the impression that Trump was still on board. The passengers were instructed not to open the plane's windows. Meanwhile, footage of Trump exiting the large aircraft is also circulating.
The Boeing 747-8, a gift from Qatar, made its maiden flight to Turkey. The plane was gifted to the United States by the Qatari royal family last year. The aircraft has been refurbished. However, reports indicate that the Boeing 747-8 lacks anti-missile countermeasures, and US intelligence thus had to make Trump travel in a secret flight to thwart the death threats from Iran.
