Actor Fahadh Faasil is an actor who sees cinema as a profession. Moving past his stardom, Fahadh prioritizes the film and his characters, often taking a unique approach to many things. His earlier statement that he did not want a fan club also attracted considerable attention. Now, he has once again clarified his stand on fan associations.
In an interview with Rekha Menon, Fahadh said that he does not have a great understanding on the functioning of fan associations, and that is why he decided to stay away from such things.
‘I still don’t know how these fan associations and other things work. That is why I decided not to get involved in such things. There is still no change in that decision. I’d rather be known as Faasil’s son or Nazriya’s husband. That gives me satisfaction.
Just watch my films, and think only about them. There’s no need to think about what I’m doing or anything like that. All I want is for people to like my film. Not just me, I think that would be the wish of every artist. Other than that, I’ve never had any interest in other things,’ the actor added.
Meantime, Fahadh’s latest film, ‘Don’t Trouble the Trouble,’ hit the theatres recently. The big-budget fantasy film has received mixed responses. Produced by S S Karthikeya, son of filmmaker S S Rajamouli, the film has been released in Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
