CHENNAI: Actor Ravi Mohan's wife Aarti Ravi has filed a plea in the Chennai family welfare court, seeking an interim maintenance of Rs 40 lakh per month. She has filed the plea in the court, alleging that the actor is not paying for the school fees and other living expenses of their children.
Aarti had approached the Madras High Court after the pleas in the family court were delayed. The high court, after considering the plea, directed the family court to decide on the alimony within two weeks. Later, Ravi Mohan approached the high court seeking an extension of this time limit, but the court rejected his plea. Stating that the date could not be extended, the court also ordered the family court to decide the matter within the previously set time limit.
Ravi Mohan and his wife Aarti, who fell in love and got married, have been estranged for some time. Meanwhile, news has also spread that the actor is in a relationship with singer Kenisha Francis. After Kenisha came forward to hint that she was ending her friendship with Ravi Mohan, the actor held a press meet and burst into tears. Ravi Mohan also announced that his films would not be released until he gets a divorce. The actor, emotionally, stated in the press meet that he would first fix his personal life and reclaim his name and only then return to acting.
