
SRINAGAR: One terrorist was killed during a joint operation by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam district.
The operation was launched based on information about the movement of a suspected group of terrorists from Pakherpora in Pulwama district towards Yousmarg in Budgam, officials were quoted as saying by PTI.
According to the Army's Chinar Corps, troops observed suspicious activity during the search operation in Ashdar Gali, Budgam, and challenged the suspected terrorists. The terrorists opened fire, triggering an exchange of gunfire in which one terrorist was killed.
An AK rifle and other war-like stores were recovered from the area. The search operation remains underway.
