Female employee of govt hospital seen kicking and abusing patient, suspended after visuals went viral 

LUCKNOW: A female employee of a government hospital was suspended after she was seen kicking and abusing a patient. Sweeper Pinky of Rai Bareli district hospital in Uttar Pradesh was suspended for her act. A departmental investigation has also started in connection with the incident. The hospital superintendent has entrusted a three-member panel for it.

The visuals from the hospital circulated on social media the other day. The video shows Pinky kicking the man sitting on the floor of the hospital. She is seen kicking him ten times in 35 seconds. The man is reported to be a mentally disturbed patient. When the visuals went viral, action against her was demanded.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak directed the hospital authorities to take action against the employee. She was then suspended. Additional chief secretary (health) Amit Kumar Khosh said inhumane behaviour cannot be tolerated at any cost. He also directed all medical officers to monitor the way the employees treat patients.
