MUMBAI: The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar met Jan Suraj Party leader Prashant Kishor, who recently won the bypolls in Bihar. The BJP later issued a warning to Sunetra. Senior BJP leader and minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule told Sunetra to avoid any move that would cause a rift in the Mahayuti alliance.
Although the meeting was an internal matter of the NCP, Bawankule said that as a partner, one should not take any stand that would raise doubts or harm the alliance. All parties in the alliance should follow the code of conduct. He added that any interventions that could lead to misunderstandings or differences should be avoided.
The meeting with Prashant took place at Sunetra Pawar's official residence in South Mumbai. No further details were released regarding this.
