NEW DELHI: Another major fire broke out in the national capital. A fire broke out in a building in Delhi's Tughlakabad area Friday early morning at 2:30. Three people were killed in the accident. Delhi Fire Service officials informed that eight people trapped in the building have been rescued. They have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
The fire broke out in a five-storied building at Gali No 1, near Naya Tara Apartments on Madhyam Marg, under the jurisdiction of Okhla Fire Station-1. Fire service officials said the rescue operation was difficult due to the narrow access road to the building.
Vehicles parked under the building were also completely gutted. Officials said that a detailed inspection of the building is being carried out and that more people may be trapped. The fire is currently under control. Initial assessment is that the fire may have spread from the vehicles.
