MYSURU: Two people died of burns in an afternoon blaze at a resto-pub owned by Kannada actor Preetham Puneeth in Mysuru, Karnataka. Six people, including Preetham, were injured. They are now undergoing treatment.

The victims were identified as Sahin (26), a native of Darjeeling, and Prakash (24), a native of Nepal. Both were kitchen staff members at the pub. The fire broke out at the Fox Den Liquor Garage pub in Dattagalli, R.T. Nagar, on Monday evening. Following this, people jumped down from the third floor through the windows. The fire force immediately reached the spot and brought the fire under control. It is reported that the fire was caused by a short circuit. Meanwhile, fire force officials said that the fire spread to the wooden decorations in the pub, which added to the tragedy. The police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident.

It is reported that the pub had more than its usual customers today due to a special offer.
