Man seriously injured after being hit by train in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A middle-aged man was seriously injured after being hit by a train near the railway track at Kannankuzhi in Amaravila on Sunday. The injured has been identified as Pradeep (50), a native of Pashukkottukonam. According to preliminary information, he was struck by the Parasuram Express, which was travelling towards Thiruvananthapuram.

Pradeep suffered severe injuries to both legs in the accident. The impact threw him off the track. Locals and police rushed to the spot and shifted him to the Neyyattinkara General Hospital. He was later referred to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. He is currently undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).
