THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall across Kerala over the next few days due to a strong low-pressure trough that has formed over the Arabian Sea, extending from Gujarat to Mangaluru.
Orange alerts have been issued for Kannur and Kasaragod districts on Monday and Tuesday, indicating the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall.
On Wednesday, rain is expected in all districts except Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, and Alappuzha.
A yellow alert has been issued for Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod on Sunday. On Monday, yellow alerts are in place for Ernakulam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, and Wayanad districts.
