Kochi airport medical emergency: 53-year-old Thrissur man dies after mid-air collapse

NEDUMBASSERY: A 53-year-old man from Thrissur died after collapsing on board a flight from Mumbai to Kochi on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as AI Jojo, a resident of Ambukkan House, East Puthenchira, Vadakkumbhagom, Kuzhikkattussery.

The incident occurred mid-air during the flight's journey to the Cochin International Airport. Upon landing, the airport's medical team immediately administered primary medical aid. Jojo was subsequently rushed to a private hospital in Angamaly, but he could not be revived and was pronounced dead.

Jojo is survived by his wife, Linda, who is a teacher at MKM Higher Secondary School in Poyya, and his three daughters, Anna Maria, Ibel Mary, and Irene Rose. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday at the East Puthenchira St. Joseph's Church Cemetery.
