Vijay finally reveals secret for wearing black and white suit

CHENNAI: C Joseph Vijay’s choice of attire became a major topic of discussion after the actor turned politician became the chief minister of Tamil Nadu. Instead of wearing the usual white shirt and mundu as seen in politics, Vijay chose a black and white suit.

He wore the same suit in all official meetings, public events and government functions. Meanwhile, opposition parties stepped forward criticizing his attire. Vijay has now responded for the first time to these discussions and criticisms.

Vijay asked are we not allowed to wear a suit, and clarified that he is not wearing many colors. He said that he chose black and white colors to show that there will be transparency and simplicity in everything. Vijay's response was while speaking at his first public rally in Tiruchirappalli after taking oath as the chief minister.

Is a suit meant only for people holding positions of authority? No, it is not like that. I do not wear clothes of many colors. It is just black and white, like our hearts. I chose these colors to show that there will be transparency and simplicity in everything,’ Vijay clarified.

Meantime, Vijay also used this opportunity to attack the opposition parties. He pointed that only a few weeks had passed since the TVK government came to power, yet the opposition, which had promised to remain silent for six months, could not stay silent even for six days. Vijay also said that the people of Tamil Nadu had rejected the two parties that had alternated in power for years and, according to him, betrayed the public.
